Organized by the Association des Brocanteurs et des Fripiers Non Sédentaires de Strasbourg (ABFNS), the “Marchés Européens de la Brocante et du Design du Broglie” invite you 6 weekends a year to discover the best of Antiques and Antiques in the heart of the city of Strasbourg and in an exceptional heritage setting!
Our events have been punctuating Strasbourg’s spring, summer and early autumn since 2005, creating at each edition a small village in the heart of the city where wonder and discovery reign. Each edition is certainly thematic but to diversify the offer it also gathers all the trends of Antiques and Brocante: classic Antiques, Art Deco, Design, vintage fashion and accessories, industrial style, the Cabinet of Curiosities…Our events have been punctuating Strasbourg’s spring, summer and early autumn since 2005, creating at each edition a small village in the heart of the city where wonder and discovery reign. Meet antique and second-hand dealers who love their job and select their objects with great care! Decoration, furniture, old books and paintings, authenticated accessories and jewelry, vintage clothing and other curiosities and unusual objects; behind each treasure there is a story that our professionals like to tell and meticulous gestures to give them a second life.
Our markets are the link between yesterday and today: a friendly place where to offer unique and singular objects at a time when eco-responsibility and the fight against waste are societal issues!
6 themed events throughout the year
The ABNFS launches its market season by focusing on the garden flea market, spring being the ideal time to furnish and equip one’s exterior.
Examples of items to find: Wrought iron garden furniture, vintage rattan outdoor furniture, antique terracotta pots, cast iron Medici vases, pot holders in barbotine or Vallauris ceramics. Various accessories complete the range: zinc watering cans, laundry basins that can be transformed into planters or even antique tools.
The garden also inspires the arts and will be explored in the form of engravings, paintings and old books.
Numerous exhibitors present beautiful old instruments such as violins, guitars or wind instruments such as the clarinet or the trumpet as well as the inevitable brass hunting horn.
The public can also find old literature on music, sheet music and, totally in the air of time, the real vintage vinyl records.
Numerous artists knew how to sublimate the beauty of the Woman. In 1900, the woman was omnipresent in the decorative arts and the Art Nouveau pieces, whether in carved wood, bronze, terracotta or in the form of advertising posters are well represented in this edition.
The old toys are beautiful and rare; they are highly prized by collectors who will find pleasure in coming to hunt for these wonders.
Ancient and modern post-war painting will be well represented in this edition with some specialized stands exhibiting their wonders in large numbers. Alsatian painting will of course be honored.
Sculpture is a joyful and elegant art with many great Alsatian sculptors who are not well known such as Henry Bischoff or Landolin Ohmacht who will be highlighted.
