ALL THE TRENDS IN ANTIQUES AND FLEA MARKET

The Broglies is a huge open-air treasure chest! Our philosophy is simple: to represent all the trends in Antiques & Brocante. Our market professionals are experts in their field. If you ask them, they’ll spend hours telling you about the history of their objects and the path they took to unearth this or that treasure. Their passion: to take you on a journey through time and style, to take you back to the heart of your childhood, to satisfy your taste for collecting with the assurance of the provenance and quality of the objects you choose.

CELEBRATE ANTIQUITIES FROM THE XVIIIÈME AND XIX ÈME CENTURIES

They reflect our rich and complex history. A gendarme hat cabinet, a half-moon table, a Récamier meridienne, a richly decorated cartel clock… They evoke the Louis XV, Directoire or Napoleon III styles and take us back to the splendor of the homes of yesteryear. To acquire such a piece is to recreate at home the luxury and refinement of a certain French art of living.

FROM ‘ART NOUVEAU’… TO ‘ART DECO’

Are you charmed by the stylized flowers of a Daum vase? The delicate curves of a Gallé pâte de verre? Or the pure lines of an Art Deco desk? The undulating shapes and floral motifs of Art Nouveau have nothing to envy to the straight lines and geometric designs of its successor: Art Deco. The choice between these two highly popular styles remains a difficult one, especially as they blend perfectly with more contemporary furniture while retaining the unrivalled charm of the old.

PLAY THE DESIGN CARD

It was the industrial revolution and the advent of mass production that laid the foundations for a new way of designing furniture. Its roots lie in the “de Stijl” movement, the Bauhaus architectural movement and the visionary work of Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier. Today, design furniture is gaining ground on the Antiques and Brocante markets. From Arne Jacobsen’s “fourmi” chair to Charles Eames’ “lounge chair” and Henri Massonet’s “Tam Tam” stool, the “tubes” of the 50s and 70s are seductive in their beauty and functionality.

DARE TO GO INDUSTRIAL

It takes the codes of industrial architecture and transposes them into interior design. First seen in New York lofts in the 70s and 80s, this raw yet cozy style combines metal, concrete, wood, brick and glass. Furniture is inspired by, or taken directly from, old shops, factories or workshops. It could be a sorting cabinet, an architect’s table, metal shelves, an articulated lamp or an antique factory clock… Simplicity, sturdiness and functionality make them a hit for today’s decorating solutions.

EXPLORE THE CABINET OF CURIOSITIES

Did you say weird? How bizarre! The Cabinet de Curiosités reveals unusual, rare, astonishing and sometimes even disturbing objects that never cease to surprise and amaze us. They range from souvenirs of faraway journeys and ethnic objects linked to ancestral customs and rites, to scientific time-measuring instruments such as antique complication clocks, observational objects like microscopes and anatomical models for medical studies. You’ll also find pictorial representations of these curiosities, which are the focus of a whole body of ancient literature.

TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT THE BEGINNINGS OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Collodion, calotypes, daguerreotypes… Photographs using old processes are becoming increasingly popular with collectors. And old cameras, from bellows models to the first Kodak instamatics, as well as Super 8 and Super 16 cameras, all have their fans.

DEVOUR VINTAGE BOOKS AND COMICS

First editions of Tintin or Charlie Hebdo, editions of rare or out-of-print books… Fans of old literature will find what they’re looking for. But beyond the author or year of publication, it’s also the binding work that’s sought after. This can be done in wood, leather or metal, creating a precious, and sometimes unique, setting for the text and graphics of the desired book.

DANCE TO VINYL HITS

Here’s a section that’s sure to please fans of analog sound, rare covers, unobtainable CDs and collectors’ records. There’s nothing like a good Stones or Nirvana vinyl to take you back to the rock years. And fans of turntable mixes will be delighted to find their favorite hits at low prices, as well as rare items at affordable prices.

DRESS UP IN VINTAGE FASHION

Today, vintage is more fashionable than ever. It stands out from current trends by offering a unique, timeless aesthetic. It allows you to create a personal and original look by mixing antique pieces with modern elements. It’s eco-friendly, promoting reuse and sustainability. It also evokes nostalgia and fascination for the past, offering a connection with history and culture. Hunting for a designer dress, coat, bag or scarf from the 50s or 60s allows you to wear high-quality clothes or accessories at a low price. But also to play with the styles and universes that fascinate you.

GIVE YOUR HOME BEAUTIFUL LINENS

Tablecloths embroidered with floral motifs or Alsatian scenes, sheets bearing elegant monograms, the famous Alsatian kelsch, noble materials such as linen, cotton or métis… The craze for traditional linens and quality fabrics is firmly on the agenda. And everyone dreams of personalizing their home and setting an original table.
